Compatibility across ScaffPlan versions has been changed:
Please note it is recommended to finalise all work in the current version of ScaffPlan you are currently in and start using version 1.4. only for new jobs.
Models created in any previous version of ScaffPlan opened in ScaffPlan 1.4 might behave not as expected.
Mode backup on opening has been introduced allowing users to save a backup of the model created in a previous version.

Environment | Added Custom Item Tool |
Users can now create, introduce and distribute over the system setup any company-specific scaffolding component or other required shapes. The Custom Item Tool, together with the Editing ribbon, contains a set of modelling tools that allow users to develop custom components from scratch using native Tekla objects, or based on provided component templates using the Insert Item Template Tool. In addition, a component can be imported and converted to the Custom Item if it is based on any of the following file extensions: skp, ifc, ifcZIP, ifcXML, igs, iges, stp, step, or obj. The Custom Item Tool also allows users to create a component based on any existing scaffolding component in the system by changing its existing length to suit the custom length if required. The tool allows users to assign the created/imported component (shape) to a scaffolding system in use or place it to the common placeholder for being able to use it for all scaffolding systems. Created components can be also deleted/exported for workflows taken by a user providing a flexible way of component storage and distribution. |
Engineering | AT-PAC system calculates vertical loads | Vertical loads calculations are now supported for AT-PAC, using Australian standards |
Scaffold Item | 230+ scaffolding components added |
Over 230 components have been embedded into the Item Tool providing rapid and consistent modelling utilising the intelligence of the tool. Extra components have been introduced for Layher, Kwikstage and AT-PAC, plus some common components available across all systems. Please see the full spreadsheet with the list of profiles added here. |
Gear list | Gear list tool enhanced | It's now possible to report any company-specific components created by a user. Checkboxes introduced for each column in the data grid allow users to exclude/include data from a report generated. Company-specific components can be excluded from reporting if they don't need to be in the gear/yard list. Gear list opening is also much faster now. |
Scaffold Bay | Copy bay to inner/outer side of bay | The Bay Tool functionality has been enhanced, allowing users to speed up bay-by-bay modelling by copying a selected bay to the inner and outer side of the bay. |
Scaffold Bay | Control bracing at each side of a bay separately | Extra bracing options for the Bay Tool have been developed, making it possible to control the positioning of bracing at each side of the bay separately (Inner, Outer, End1, End2). |
Scaffold Item | More functionality for Flex Beam components | Intelligence of Layher FlexBeam system components has been significantly enhanced by introducing Create commands for components selected, and extra snapping points for the convenience of rapid and precise modelling in the system. |
Scaffold Item | Copy component at ends command | Ease of modelling has been enhanced by introducing Copy Same Object command on the contextual toolbar for the Item Tool, allowing users to copy a component from end to end rapidly by a specified number of copies. |
Scaffold Item | Rotate the swivel head and adjust angle/position by picked objects | The feature allows users to model swivel couplers and rotate the swivel head to suit an angle specified angle or auto-adjust the positioning of the head according to the picked component it will connect to |
Scaffold Item | Rotation of component command on contextual toolbar | The rotation command is now available on the contextual toolbar for components and provides direct access to the rotation of the component at 0-, 90-, 180- and 270- degree angles. |
Scaffold Bay | Kwikstage: Tie bars introduced | Tie bars are now created if console brackets are on in the bay. |
Stairs | Kwikstage: 1 & 2 meter construction stairs added | 1 & 2 meter construction stairs have been introduced for the Kwikstage system, offering a fast and easy way of modelling stairs. |
Scaffold Item | Item Type and Profile fields are searchable | The search for Type and Profile fields implemented allows for a fast and easy way to find any component required. |
Scaffold Item | Centrelines available for top and bottom chords of trusses | Top and bottom chords of trusses are displayed in the model for modelling convenience. The feature is especially helpful when placing couplers onto trusses, as it allows snapping to the centreline of a chord. |
Environment | Macro to adjust grid elevations from picked Bay | Provides a quick and easy way of grid elevation adjustments at decking positions for bays. |
Environment | Macro to move objects from face to face | Allows users to adjust components face to a face of of an object picked. The feature is especially helpful when standards need to be placed along a slope. |
