Lacing and Bracing of Beams
- Switch to X-Ray mode and make sure the ScaffPlan Toolbar and snapping points are available.
- Open the Tube & Clip / Tube & Fitting Tool and set the input type to Two Items.
- For the horizontal lacing:
- Select Double Couplers for both ends.
- Pick the two beams.
- Set the required tube length.
- Position the tube perpendicular to the beams.
- Use Move + Copy to duplicate the tube along the beam.
- Repeat the same process for the lower lacing. If the couplers are inserted upside down, use the Flip command.
- For cross bracing:
- Change both ends to Swivel Couplers.
- Pick the required beam/chord locations.
- Set the appropriate tube length.
- Copy and reposition the braces as required.
- Add the top bracing by creating tubes between the existing braces, adjusting tube lengths to suit the available spacing.
- Reposition individual tubes where required to remove clashes and achieve the correct arrangement.
- Unhide the remaining model geometry and check the completed lacing and bracing in context.
